Celebrating Barbara Nicholson: A Legacy of Excellence |

The King Arts Complex will honor the retirement of
Executive Director, Barbara R. Nicholson with a program celebrating Barbara R. Nicholson: A Legacy of
Excellence on Saturday, March 6, 2010.
A VIP Reception will be held in the ballroom at 6:00 p.m. followed by a
Celebration Program at 7:00 p.m. in the Pythian Theater with Mistress of
Ceremonies Angela Pace. This event will feature entertainment and special
guests paying homage to Barbara R. Nicholson.

CAPA AND THE OSU DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE PRESENT A SONG FOR CORETTA |

Inspired by the long line of mourners at Ebenezer Baptist Church paying their respects to Mrs. Coretta Scott King, this play introduces five fictional African-American women, aged 17 to 57, who find laughter and hope while waiting in the rain to say goodbye. The production explores the impact Mrs. King had on the lives of these women, and the connections they build with one another through her memory and legacy.
